Federal education funding is the finances that the federal government has set aside or given to fund education. This might be given directly or through programs, competitions, grants, etc. It directly assists governments or individuals in the area of education. 

Federal Education Funding is given to states in different ways as mentioned earlier, like competitive grant programs, etc. However, the amount of funding differs from state to state.
