About the role of Lead Front End Developer Job
Role as a lead front end developer is to work with one of the five digital product teams. The product team consists of developers, UX and digital designers, content authors and product managers. So the lead front-end developer is to work closely within own product team to ensure objectives are met.
The role of the job also focuses on acting as one of a three group lead developers. Work is to monitor oversight of all work carried out by your team and across the museum. The group of lead developer drives technical direction of the development team, choosing technologies and setting standards, and ensuring solutions of problems.
As a lead front end developer, you should have an experience in leading development and building public-facing website or application and good designing and building technique for user needs. You should be able to demonstrate strong record of providing technical leadership, organizing technical solutions across multiple teams. In addition, you should be able to manage and mentor other developers within the team.
Significant experience in building front end applications using JavaScript and other programming software is expected and compulsory as well as exposure to working with AIs, GraphQl and RESTful. In-depth understanding of web security, web performance, and web accessibility is also necessary.
